My Breeding Code of Ethics

I am dedicated to the Dachshund breed and my breeding program is based on the standard set by the AKC. The litters we have at Sweet N Low Dachshunds of Texas are always planned for the betterment of the breed and the over all health and quality of the puppies.

Listed below are some patterns that I will NOT breed:

~Dapple to dapple because of the risk of puppies being born with the lethal double dapple gene.

~Dapple to piebald, the AKC does not recognize the mixed patterns.

~Dapple to brindle, produces a very messed up pattern and could cause a health risk in the future if bred back to a dapple.

I will NEVER knowingly sell to Puppy Mills or Pet Brokers!

I WILL always take a pup or dog back if it is unwanted by the new owner for any reason.

I WILL always be honest when selling a puppy, that way we make sure that you are happy with the pup of your choice, and the puppy will have a forever home.

I ALWAYS give the best of care to my dogs to ensure their health and wellbeing. I proudly feed and recommend Iams dog foods.
